This bullwhips has been in various states of construction for about a month and I finally found time to put the knots on it:
This is a Deluxe Beginner’s Bullwhip and probably the last one of these I make for a little while. I’ve got enough leather for 2 or 3 more, but want to work on some more interesting projects.
This bullwhip is for sale on my IN STOCK whips page.
I was in Portland, Oregon over the weekend and found this bullwhip in a junk shop:
This is a cheap-o bullwhip and was dry as hell and it was missing a fall and cracker. Can you guess the asking price?
A whopping forty nine dollars…FIRM!
This exact same bullwhips is selling for $6.54 and it’s brand new on Amazon.com.
Yesterday I got exactly three feet of the eight foot bullwhip I’m working on plaited:
Today I’m heading down to the Portland Oregon area to perform, so I probably won’t get any plaiting in today. Tomorrow and Monday Robert Dante will be in Oregon and I’m bummed that I will miss him by a day…unless I can come up with a reason to stay over down there (hmmmm….). I did make several efforts for a local whip group to bring him to the Seattle area but it didn’t work out.
This afternoon before my show I get to visit with a pair of whips that I made (and their owner).
Today I’m in Portland on a little weekend vacation with my Family. We ate at a place called “House Of Louie” in ChinaTown last night (it was alright). I’ll be back at home on sunday and cranking out bullwhips again after the weekend off. (I do have a hide with me that I’m cutting some lace out of in the evenings.
Sometime later next week my bullwhip rates will be going up due to my available time and my bullwhip making skills getting better. So if you are thinking of ordering a bullwhip from me now is a great time to do it.
