Here’s a whip that came in recently for a repair:
The end had been broken off, if I remember correctly this was a dog that chewed through the whip.
After chatting with the owner and giving them some options they decided to put the new end of the whip where the whip was chewed off. I had to unbraid the whip a bit and taper the inside a little bit, the put a new fall on it.
I also added in a pack of polypro crackers.
This whip shipped back to its owner cracking a lot better than it did when they shipped it to me! If you’ve got a whip that needs repairs feel free to contact me!
Yesterday I made up a big batch of polypro crackers and some nylon ones as well.
I also got some work on the pair of bullwhips in. I cut out both of the bellies:
and have one and a half of the bellies plaited. I should get the second belly completed today.
I just had a ton of nylon crackers arrive:
The person that made these for me makes them for one of the top whipmakers and also for one of the top whip sellers in the USA.
Personally the two whip making jobs that I like the least are making falls and making crackers. I’m very glad that I found someone to make crackers for me. Now I just need someone to make falls for me…
Since I just had a ton of these come in, the Whip Deal of the Day (for 12/12/09 only) is 33% off all crackers; nylon or polypro.
Today’s Whip Deal of the Day (for 11/30/09 only) is every order of $20 will get 10 free polypro crackers. You don’t need to do anything special, I’ll just add the polypro crackers to orders over $20 when I’m packing up the order to ship it.
